My work concerns the persuasive elements of communications that audiences often perceive as arhetorical. As an instructor of writing, I encourage students to examine workplace genre conventions through a rhetorical lens. I received the Outstanding Graduate Instructor Award while serving as the Visiting Assistant Professor of Technical and Professional Writing and Associated Faculty Member for Women’s and Gender Studies at the University of New Orleans. At the University of Texas at Austin, I received the John Slatin Prize for Mastery of Electronic Media in Education (MEME).
